Now I know trucks aren’t the most adventurous designs and the whole Eddie Stobart truck spotting thing really isn;t for me but when I laid eyes on the new Mercedes-Benz Antos truck concepts I thought they looked really good and pretty nice looking. Mercedes designers have really got on it this last few years, don’t know if they have all been sent on a team building paint balling event or something but everything thats come out of there design department this has been fantastic. Take the new A Class for example, it’s stunning and the hot verson with its cheeky orange grill stripes is really going to give the GTi’s and RS’s a run for its money.

The Antos is a heavy duty track which has been designed specially for short run distribution so this in mind it has brilliant all round visibility and will go on sale with 13 different engines from there “Blue Efficiency Power” with a power range starting at 238 bhp an those wanting a little more muscle right up to 510 bhp all which meet the euro bureaucrats emission standards. They are also offering a minimum axle spacing of 2650mm ranging up to 6700mm making the Antos a very flexible heavy duty short radius truck. The Antos is due for launch in September and should make the roads a slightly prettier place.
