Silverstone Classic Series by Peter Aylward

I came across Peter Aylward when I was searching for automotive photography and found his stunning Silverstone Classic series from the 2012 gathering of classic racing cars at Silverstone. I really like this kind of style, it’s really different how the images are presented and gives an almost vintage aged look to the photographs. The Silverstone classic is a racing event held at one the world’s most famous racing circuits and featured some of the worlds most loved racing cars from yesteryear.

Based in Windsor, UK Peter has a vast amount of commercial experience in this sector specialising in super high res photography and image retouching.  Now a director of a London based image production studio called Additive Studios Peter’s racing images have set him apart from the rest. His composition and retouching skills are second to none, I love the style they are so light but still manage to keep all the details you need to appreciate the cars.

I love the Martini 911 shot, the fact you can see all the water droplets gathering on that beautiful body really makes this a great shot but I also love the Cobra image, the combination of yellow and black and the lines make this an almost perfect shot. I really hope that Peter does some more series like this as I adore his style and I’d just like to say a big thank you for letting me post about his photography.
