Men’s Cars Series – Pascal P & Ford Mustang Fastback

The coolest man ever to grace our fair planet was Steve McQueen but I think he may just have some competition Pascal P called his car ‘Steve’ for a start and when that car happens to be one of the finest examples of a Ford Mustang Fastback 1968 I’ve ever seen then what can I say. This is another fantastic Men’s Car Series by Laurent Nivalle  and features one of my favourite cars of all time the 68 Mustang finished in a usually boring cream, but on this car looks very elegant. The colour of the wood dash that has been captured with an almost faded vintage look is perfect and was incredibly disappointed when I got into my car this morning and just saw boring plastic. They just don;t make cars like they used to do, all the details of the switches,  even the detailing the steering wheel is cool. Although no where near as advanced as modern wheels it does everything it ever needs to do and nothing else, leaving it just to look cool. For me this is a perfect 1968 Ford Mustang  and so far my favourite set in the epic men’s cars series by Laurent.

I wonder how Laurent Nivalle’s quest to make the Austin Maestro look cool is going. I imagine he took one look at it and just gave up but I maybe wrong. There is one reason that this set of photos reaks of coolness and that is that fact that Laurent Nivalle has the Midas touch and the skills to capture something that is already stunning and make it completely his own. They don’t scream look at me but what they do have is a an understated quality that comes across so naturally that the sets don’t look staged or posed for which is just how it should be.
