Joe’s ‘Lucky 13’ CB450 Cafe Racer

I’m just getting into the whole cafe racer culture, loving the vintage design from the 60’s mixed with modern technology. I love beautiful and clean cut design and that don’t shout out that they are custom. In this case I think its the subtlety of the paint job which is Volvo paint flint grey metallic the old school wheels and the lack of chrome that makes this bike work so well. The vintage looking heat shield tape works really well too.

The bike cost $400 and was a none runner with only 1500miles on the clock. The bike was created by Joe Archambault with an aim to make a bike that can be ridden to work and not look out of place at bike shows. With help from his brother Im and friend Tony they full rebuilt the 1972 honda engine and set about chopping and styling the frame to give that classic Cafe Racer styling. I have to say this is my favorite bike to date, its perfect in my eyes understated yet beautiful. Let’s hope Joe’s next project is a Triumph!
