Custom 1987 Moto Guzzi – The Diabola V35c by Venier Motorcycles

Diabola, comes from the Latin word for devil and a motorcycle with this name instantly conjures up demonic imagery of skulls, flames and pentagons. The Diabola V35c is like an assassin, it doesn’t shout about it’s nature or announce it’s presence yet everyone can tell they are something special when they enter a room. Inside it has the soul of a machine made for one purpose and this is to be riden, this absolutely stunning looking custom motorcycle was built by Venier Motorcycles. Stefano Venier believes that there is only one way to make a custom motorcycle and that is by hand.

Working out of their shop in Pordenone, Italy, Venier and master mechanic, Ivan Delle Vedove announce there presence on the custom motorcycle scene with the Diabola V35c which started life as a 1987 Moto Guzzi V35c. Rebuilt by hand using only steel or aluminium plastic has become a dirty word and never mentioned in the shop when it come to building motorcycles. Everything has been hand fabricated from fenders to gas tanks and I have to say this is the finest looking custom motorcycle I have ever seen it’s so clean looking and well made.

There is a really cool story behind Venier Motorcycles which was started by Stefano Venier and first written about by Iron and Air magazine. It all started with his love of motorcycles and modifying motorcycles, mopeds and scooters from a young age. His family are dead against his motorcycle obsession and would never back him with a venture in opening his own shop until his savour stepped up and helped him out. Livia, Stefano’s grandmother who for years has been secretly backing him, saving money and funding Stefano’s passion for motorcycles and enabling him to open up his very own shop. All this has been kept a secret from the rest of the family as they both knew they would be against him. I take my hat of to Livia, I think we have just found the world’s coolest grandmother the world being a better place for people like her. Show these guy’s some love as I think they are going to storm the custom scene this year with new builds already in progress.
